We travel northeast of Termalaine to a cabin perched over the edge of the lake. The wizard Micradius is missing... well, just on another plane of existence. Able to recall him, we leave with his prototype weather device in hand.

We thwart the goblin fortress that has been raiding the trail. Within the fortress, we find an ancient Shield Guardian construct of the Netheril era along with a large egg that proves to be an item that fell off the crashed Nautilus. We also learn of a gnome (named Copper) living in Bryn Shander who performs experiments in a black cabin in the woods. Maybe his experiments are attempts to restore the sun.

After discovering a Sea Hag was the legended Lake Lady who caused the loss of men on the lake, they journeyed to Good Mead to continue their search for Duergar
Highlights:
- The White Lady of Lac Dinneshere was a Sea Hag, whiles Harpies along the shore probably lured men to their deaths at the hands of the hag while also mentally commanding the dwarf to jump overboard, dumping his treasure chest too.
- The Verbeeg were driven from the mountain home by Duergar.
- Something came from the sky and crashed in the mountains. What do Duergar want with it?

They dispatch Duergar that have taken up residence in an ancient dwarven fortification. They confront Crag-Cats and a Yeti family while searching for the spirit Yanath's slain body to put to rest..
Highlights:
- Duergar- his brother hiding on the frozen ferry in Easthaven.
- Crag-Cats: resist magic and thus can reflect back spells.
- Yeti: cast a paralyzing gaze.

Caer Konig speaker Trovus (a silver Dragonborn).
Highlights:
- The Tiefling wizard Kadroth and scholar dwarf Hethyl were nothing more than cultist worshipers of Levistus.
- The albino Tiefling (Averous) knows Vellynne. It sounds like both are necromancers.
- As the Duergar campaign map implied, it looks like the evil dwarfs also infest Caer Konig.

Caer Dineval speaker Crannoc Siever sick and sequestered in his castle.
Highlights:
- Duergar were secretly hiding in the abandoned inn. They (a sleeper-cell?) to carry out their leader’s (Xardorok) plan to conquer all of Ten-Town.
- Xardorok’s fortress somewhere in the Spine-of-the-World. Just where the wizard Nass Lantomir was last seen.
- Why did Hethyl take up residency in the castle? Why did our arrival mean her doom? She died without us raising a finger or weapon.
- What is Kadroth’s purpose in the castle and town?

Highlights:
- The millennial old city of Netheril: an eminent human empire of powerful archimages, now lost, frozen somewhere in all this ice.
- The expedition from Targos proved to be a disaster: Garret dead. Janith Alowar (the ghostly voice haunting Knott) was a member of that expedition.
- The suspected murderer Sephek Kaltro proved to be an undead servant of Auril.
- Goblins claimed dwarf’s sled but gave it up after our attack.
